BBT Krauss Viseur Monoculaire 10x50
| Das militärische Sucher-Fernrohr mit Fadenkreuz "Viseur Monoculaire 10x50" von BBT-Krauss wurde wahrscheinlich für die französische Nachkriegsmarine (s. Datenblatt) hergestellt. Die Exemplare sind mit einer Serien-/Produktionsnummer am Objektivtubus gekennzeichnet - ein Exemplar mit Nr. 56. Diese ist identisch mit den dazugehörigen Holztransportkisten. | This military finder telescope "Viseur Monoculaire 10x50" with crosshairs by BBT-Krauss presumabely was made for the French post-war navy (s. data sheet). The pieces are signed with a serial or production number at the objective tube – here: 56. These are identical to the numbers at the wooden transport case. |
| Das Monokular ist aus schwerem Messing mit schwarzer Lackierung, abgesehen von der Seite des runden Prismengehäuses. Wahrscheinlich ließ es sich hier mit einer runden Klemme auf einem Stativ ruhig halten; so ist an der Gehäuseseite ein kleiner hervorstehender Stift, der die Lage bei der Montage arretieren könnte. Die Optik ist blau vergütet. Das Monokular hat ein für Krauss und Huet Gläser typische dicke Okularstück mit Geradführung bei der Fokussierung und eine zum Betrachter gerichtete Dioptrienskal mit nur einem Markierungsstrich für Plus (zwei bei No. 97) und vier für Minus. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Plastik. Die Prismendose beinhaltet Porro-2-Prismen und lässt sich mit einem Überwurfring von oben öffnen. Der obere Deckel ist mit "BBT Krauss " im Firmenlogo und "10x50" beschriftet. Der Gehäuseboden hat ein Ventilloch für ein Trockenapparat. | The monocular is made from heavy brass with black painting, apart from the round prism box side. This could be because a round clamp was attached to the prism housing to mount it on some stable stand. A tiy protruding pin could have served as fixation in the clamp. The optics are coated blue. The monocular has some features typical of Krauss and Huet glasses: a linear movement of the ocular while focusing, a dioptre scale facing the observer. The latter has just one division line for plus (two lines with No. 97) and four for minus. The eyecup is made of plastic. The prism box contains a porro 2 sytem and can be opened by removing a retainer ring from the top side. The top cover plate is marked "BBT Krauss " within the company logo, and also "10x50". The bottom of the housing has a valve for a dessicating apparatus. |
