Kosmos 4x20 Teleskop

Hier ist ein kleines 40g schweres Mssingtleskop, das in seiner Form an das Wollensak PockeScope SR. erinnert. Zusammengeschoben ist es 58mm, ausgezogen 89mm. Die Vergrößerung liegt bei 4fach; die Objektivlinse ist 20mmim Durchmesser. Die geriffelte Augenmuschel ist schwarz lackiert, was vermuten lässt, dass dies auch das ganze Glas war. Der Auszugstubus ist 18mm, der Haupttubus oben 20mm und am Objektivteil 25mm im Durchmesser. Dort ist "Kosmos, Ges. d. Naturfreunde (Stuttgart)" eingraviert, wobei einige Wortteile kaum lesbar sind. Es handelt sich hier um den Stuttgarte Kosmos Verlag, der regelmäßig Zeitschriften zum Thema herausgab und heute durch Experimentierkästen bekannt ist. Vielleicht war das Fernrohr eine Beilage tzu einem Produkt oder ein Mitglieder-Geschenk.

Here is a small 40g brass telescope which resembles the Wollensak PockeScope SR. by its shape. It is 58mm closed and 89mm extended. Its magnification is about 4 times, the objective lens is 20mm in diameter. The knurled brass eyecup is painted black, what leads to the conclusion the whole scope once was painte black. The draw tube is 18mm, the narrow part of the main tub is 20mm and the end part 25mm in diameter. At the objective end the tube is engraved "Kosmos Ges. d. Naturfreunde Stuttgart" (= Kosmos society of the Friends of Nature, Stuttagrt"), but some words are hardly readable. Kosmos is a piblishing house from Stuttgart that refularly issued magazines on natrual sciences and is well known by its experimental kits. Maybe the telescope was a give-away with some product or to members.
