Kern Aarau 4x18

Richtkreis Der Kern Richtkreis arbeitet mit einem 4x18 Monokular als Visier. Es hat einen unterbrochenen vertikalen Peilstrich (s. Bilder) und dafür ein Beleuchtungsfenster an der Gehäuseseite. Das Okularstück und die Objektivfassung sind schwarz lackiert, während das Gehäuse und die einfach verschraubten Deckel wie fast alle anderen Instrumententeile olivgrün lackiert sind. Der obere Deckel ist mit "Kern Aarau" beschriftet, während der Sockelfuß mit "Kern Swiss" sowie "1980" gekennzeichnet ist. Das Monokulargehäuse hat einen Trägerarm, der an einer Befestigungsgabel sitzt. Der Kompassträger hat die Nummer 2771.

Aiming Circle The KErn aiming circle works with a 4x18 monocular sight. The ocular has a reticle with a vertical interrupted line for aiming (see pics). It also has a lighting window in the housing for that. The eyepiece and the objective frame are lacquered black, while the housing and almost all the other instrument parts are lacquered olive green. The top cover is marked "Kern Aarau", the base is marked "Kern Swiss" and "1980". The monocular body has a protruding arm which is attached to a mount fork. The compass rack has No. 2771.

Der Richkreis hat zur waagerechten Justierung oben eine runde Wasserwaage. Der oben am Trägergestell befindliche Sockel kann in einer 6400er Seitenkreisteilung gedreht werden. Dafür ist rechts ein Feinjustierknopf montiert, dessen Arretierung mit einem Hebel gelöst werden kann, so dass eine schnelle Grobeinstellung möglich ist. Der zwischen dem Trägergestell montierte Kompass (Magnetscheibe) kann durch ein kleines Okular abgelesen werden (s. Foto). Die Position wird nach Lösem der Flügelschraube am Fuß durch Drehen des Gestells ausgerichtet. Der Fuß hat einen Standteller und ein Stativgewinde.

The aiming circle comes wiht a bubble level for horizontal adjustment. The base on top of the rack can be turned in 6400mil divisons (aziumuth circle). There is a fine adjustment knob and to the right; the locked drum can be released with a lever for quick adjustment. The compass or magnetic disk mounted between the rack arms can be read through a magnifying eyepiece (s. pic). The position can be adjustet by turning the instrument near the base when you loosen a clamping screw. The base has a round plate and a tripod thread.

Das 4x18 Monokular ist je nach Dioptrieneinstellung 72-77mm lang, das Gehäuse oben 37x37mm und unten 40x40mm breit. Die Objektivfassung ist 31mm, das Okularstück 16,5mm, der Fokussierungsring 21mm und die Augenmuschel 28mm im Durchmesser. Der Richtkreis ist an der breitesten Stelle 100x110mm breit und insgesamt ca. 210mm hoch und wiegt 2042g.
