Carl Zeiss Jena "Jenoptem 8x30W"

Das vorliegende "Jenoptem 8x30W" (W = Weitwinkel) entspricht dem rechten Teil eines Doppelglases. Es hat keine Seriennummer oder "Carl Zeiss Jena" Beschriftung, aber es hat das Zeiss-Lisnenloge auf dem Deckel. Bei Carl Zeiss in Eisfeld wurden in den 1980er Jahren Ferngläser außer unter den bekannten Modellnamen als "Jenoptem" Modelle produziert. Über dem Logo ist es mit "multi-coated" gekennzeichnet, hat also die "T3M" rötlich-violette Multivergütung aus DDR-Zeiten. Das linksseitige Okular hat eine Plastikaugenmuschel und eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala. Die Deckel sind einfach verschraubt und haben eine typische fein strukturierte schwarze Lackierung.

The "Jenoptem 8x30W" (W = wide angle) monocular shown here looks like the right half of a binocular. There is no serial number or "Carl Zeiss Jena" marking. The specifications and model name are marked within a Zeiss lens logo, though. In the 1980s Carl Zeiss produced in Eisfeld optics under the usual model names as well as labeled "Jenoptem". Above the lens logo it says "multi-coated". So, it comes with the "T3M" reddish-violet multi-coating used during GDR times. The left-hand sided eyepiece has a plastic eyecup and a full dioptre scale. The cover plates have one screw, and are lacquered with a slightly textured black paint.

Das Monokular wiegt 226g. Es ist 111-118mm lang, das Gehäuse oben 49x49mm, unten 56x56mm breit. Das Okular ist 29mm, der Fokussierungsteil 34mm, die Augenmuschel 33mm und die Objektivfassung 41mm im Durchmessder. Ein früheres "Jenoptem 8x30w" Monokular ist blau vergütet und hat daher noch nicht die "multi-coated" Bezeichnung. Auch hier gibt es keine Seriennummer oder "Carl Zeiss Jena" Bezeichnung. Die Deckel sind mit glatter schwarzer Farbe lackiert.

The eyepiece is 29mm, the focusing part 34mm, the eyecup 33mm, and the objective frame 41mm in diameter. An earlier "Jenoptem 8x30w" monocular is coated blue, and thus is not marked with the "multi-coated" designation. Again, there is no serail number or "Carl Zeiss Jena" marking. The cover plates are lacquered with a smooth black paint.
