Huet 20x55 'Rivalux' Telescope

Das "Rivalux" von Huet Paris mit den 20facher Vergrößerung und einem 55mm Objektiv stammt aus den 1950er bis -60er Jahren und wurde als handliches Beobachtungsfernohr für Balkone oder Yachten angeboten (s. Kataligseite). Es hat eine blaue Vergütung. Es handelt sich um ein Porro-2-System. Das Modell gab es in sandfarbener oder silbern-grauer Lackierung des Aluminiumtubses. Beim sandfarbenen Exemplar wurde für eine Reperatur der Tubus nahe des oberen Randes aufgesägt und mit Klebstoff und Klebeband wieder verschlossen, da sich die Endstücke nicht mehr aufdrehen lassen. Am Tubus befindet sich ein Stativgewinde, das auf ein kegelförmiges ausziehbares Tischstativ mit Gelenk passt. Das Okular ist komplett aus schwarz lackiertem Metall und hat eine +/-5 Dioptrienskala, welche vom Augenende aus aufrecht lesbar ist. Am Rand des Deckels zur Okularseite ist es mit "Made in France No. 29012" bzw. "No.157279" gekennzeichnet.

The "Rivalux" by Huet, Paris has a 20 times magnification and a 55mm objective lens. It dates from the 1950-60s, and was offered as a ohandy observation telescope for balconies or yachting. It comes with a blue coating. It is a porro 2 prism system. There were a sand-coloured or sivlery-grey painted aluminium tube model. As the covers cannot be unscrewed any more, the tube of the sand coloured specimen was sawn off near the ocular cover for some maintainance, and was closed with glue and black tape afterwards. There is a tripod thread at the body fitting onto a cone shaped extendable table stand with a swivel head. The ocular is completely made of metal and painted black. The dioptre scale ranges from +5 to -5. The numbers can be viewed upright from the ocular end. The rim of the cover near the ocular is marked "Made in France" and "No. 29012" or "157279".

Der Tubus ist 30cm lang und hat einen Durchmesser von 62mm. Das Okular misst je nach Justierung zwischen 37 und 41mm und ist 40mm im Durchmesser. Die Objektivlinse ist 36mm nach innen versetzt und bietet so auch einen Blendschutz. Das Teleskop wiegt 575g.

The tube is 30cm long and has a diameter of 62mm. The ocular measures 37 to 41mm in length depending on adjustment, having a 40mm diameter. The objective lens is recessed by 36mm, thus building some ray-shade. The telescope weighs 575g.
