Goerz Pozsony M8 4x34

Das 4x34 Modell "M8" wurde von Goerz-Pozsony (Preßburg) bzw. Goerz Wien-Pozsony seit 1908 als Galilei-Glas hergestellt. Das konische Messinggehäuse ist mit einem Rauhlack ummantelt. An beiden Seiten sind angenietete Trageriemenösen. Diese sind mit "II" bzw. "133" gekennzeichnet. An der im Gegensatz zum binokularen Modell (vgl. a. Modell 2) verlängerten Objektivfassung ist noch eine "19" eingeschlagen. Evtl. wurde der Objektivtubus später umgebaut und sollte ggf. original wie im 2. Bild aussehen. Das Okular hat eine bei 5 markierte Dioptrienskala mit Strichen von + bis -6. Die 3/3 Augenmuschel ist aus Metall.

The 4x34 Galilei model M8 was made by Goerz-Pozsony (Bratislava) or Goerz Wien-Pozsony since 1908. The conical brass body is covered with crinkle paint. Both sides have rivetted strap lugs. They are markd with a "II" and "133". There is a "19" stamped onto the objective tube which is longer than those of the binocular models (also cf. model 2). The objective tube was probalby refurbished at a later time, and originally should look like in picture 2. The eyepiece has a dioptre adjsutment with division lines from + to - 6, marked at 5. The 3/3 eyecup is made of metal.

Das M8 ist 110-112mm lang, der Tubus verbreitert sich von 32mm auf 43mm und die 29mm lange Objektivfassung hat einen 42mm Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 323g.
