Früngel & Ulmer "Universal-Lux" 8x45

Das vergütete 8x45 Monokular ist auf dem oberen Deckel mit "Früngel & Ulmer Stutgart" in einem Linsenlogo, darunter mit "Made in Germany" beshriftet. Früngel & Ulmer ist eine Optikladen in Stuttagrt, das seit 1870 existiert (s. Firmengeschichte). Das 8x45 könnte von der Firma "Optik Kirchner GmbH & Cie KG" aus Stuttgart oder einer anderen deutschen Herstellerfirma aus Wetzlar oder Kassel (z.B. Krombach Wetzlar, Beck Kassel) nach dem 2. Weltkrieg hergestellt worden sein. Das Linsenlogo ähnelt sogar stark dem Zeiss-Linsenlogo. Der untere Deckel trägt den Modellnamen "U niversal-Lux" und die Werte 8x45. Die Metallteile sind aus schwarz lackiertem Aluminium, das Gehäuse ist mit schwarzem Kunstleder ummantelt und hat eine eingegossene Tragriemenöse. Die Deckel sind eifnach verschraubt. Die Dioptrienskla läuft komplett um das Okularstück herum und ist bei 0 sowei jeweils + un d - 5 markiert. Die Augenmuschel am rechtsseitigem Okular ist aus Kunststoff.

The coated 8x45 monocular is inscribed on the top cover with "Früngel & Ulmer Stuttgart" within a lens logo, and "Made in Germany" below. Früngel & Ulmer is an optics shop in Stuttgart that has existed since 1870 (see Company History). The 8x45 may have been manufactured by the Stuttgart-based company "Optik Kirchner GmbH & Cie KG" or another German manufacturer from Wetzlar or Kassel (e.g. Krombach Wetzlar, Beck Kassel) after World War II. The lens logo even closely resembles the Zeiss lens logo. The lower cover bears the model name "Universal-Lux" and the optical specifications of 8x45. The metal parts are made of black lacquered aluminum, the housing is covered in black synthetic leather and has a cast-in strap lug. The covers have one screw. The diopter scale runs completely around the eyepiece and is marked at 0, +5, and -5. The eyecup on the right-hand eyepiece is made of plastic.

Das Universal-Lux 170-176 mm lang, oben am Gehäuse 49x49 mm und unten 54x54mm breit, der konishce Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 40 auf 54mm, die Objektivfassung ist 54,5mm, das Okularstück 28 mm, der vertikal geriffelte Fokussierungsring 33 mm und die Augenmuschel 34 mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular mit Trageriemen wiegt 292g.

The Universal-Lux is 170-176 mm long, 49 x 49 mm wide at the top and 54 x 54 mm wide at the bottom. The conical obejctive tube increases from 40 to 54 mm in diameter. The objective frame is 54.5 mm, the eyepiece is 28 mm, the vertically knurled focusing ring is 33 mm, and the eyecup is 34 mm in diameter. The monocular with its carrying strap weighs 292 g.
