The Roman number "X" hints at type 10 of the "Longue-vue Monoculaire de Prismes" (Monocular Prism-Telescope) described by the "Ministère de la Guerre" (War Office).Serial number at the revolver is 3876. A 517 is stamped into the brass rack (at the mounting barrel part) followed by the serial number. Each eyepiece has its own dioptre adjustment and eyecup. The latter are made of plastic or made of metal on model 3807. The 3807 telescope comes with the usual E. KRauss tripod adapter with adjustment knobs. |
