Ernemann Werke 6x24

Dies ist eines der seltenen Ferngläser der Fa. Ernemann Werke aus Dresden, welche vor allem Kameras herstellten. Das Monokular stammt aus der 12jährigen Produktionszeit zwischen 1913 und 1925. Die optischen Werte sind 6x24. Wie viele der damaligen Porro-I-Prismengläser ist das Monokular aus Messing mit schwarzer Lackierung und einer Lederummantelung gefertigt. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Kunststoff/Bakelit. Der Dioptrienausgleih ist von + bis - 5 markiert. Der obere Deckel mit der (Jugendstil-)Beschriftung "Ernemann-Werke A.G. Dresden" ist dreifach, der untere Deckel einfach verschraubt. Dieses Exemplar hat keine Trageöse am Gehäuse, das andere vorliegendes ist mit angegossener Öse und ist am unteren Deckel mit "VERGR. 6x. 888955." beschriftet. Bei letzterem Exemplar ist der Lack weitgehned erhalten. ein weiteres Exemplar mit der Folgenummer 888956 ist bekannt.

This is a quite rare glass made by Ernemann-Werke Dresden. The company was mainly a camera maker. The monocular dates from the 12 years period of binocular making between 1913 and 1925. Its optical specifications are 6x24. As many of contemporary porro I prism glasses the monocular was made of brass, painted black, and covered with leather. The eye-cup is made of Bakelite or some plastic. Dioptre adjustment is marked from + to - 5. The top cover inscribed "Ernemann-Werke A.G. Dresden" in art-deco letters has three, the bottom cover just one screw. There is no strap lug at the body. Another specimen with almost intact black lacquering has a cast-in strap-lug and is also marked at the bottom plate – there it is marked "VERGR. 6x. 888955." (= magnification 6x and serial or production number). Another model with the successive number 888956 is known.

Das Monokular wiegt 226g. Es ist 10 bis 10,5cm lang und 44x44mm oben bzw. 48x48mm unten breit. Das Objektivende ist 30mm, das Okular an der Augenmuschel 32mm im Durchmesser.
