Dollond monokulares Opernglas

Das einäugige Beobachtungs- oder Opernlgas der Londoner Optikerfirma Dollond (s. Beschriftung am Okular) stammt vermutlich lt. Verkäufer aus der Zeit 1790 - 1820. Das Messinggehäuse hat 7 Auszüge und ein in Elfenbein gefassten Objektivtubus. Ganz ausgezogen ist es ca. 12,5cm lang, geschlossen ist es ca. 5cm lang. Der Durchmesser des Haupttubus ist ca. 5,8cm. Es wiegt nicht ganz 300g.

Dollond 7 Draw Spyglass

This one-eyed spy glass or opera glass was made by Dollond London (see ocular inscription) and dates from about 1790 to 1820 according to the seller's description. The brass body has 7 draws, the objective part covered with ivory. Fully extended the length is 12.5cm (5") and closed it is about 5cm (2"). The diameter of the main body is 5.8cm (2 1/4").. It weighs almost 300g (10.5 oz).
