Dollond x6
| Das Dollond Monokular ist am oberen Deckel mit "x6" und der Nummer 3147 sowie mit "Dollond London" in einer Raute bezeichnet. Die optischen Werte sind 6x16. Die optik ist nicht vergütet. Die Dioptrieneinstellung ist bei + und -5 beschriftet. Das Aluminiumgehäuse ist mit schwarzem Leder ummnatelt und eine Metalllippe mit Trageschlaufe ist mit zwei Schrauben angebracht. Die Messingdeckel ohne Schrauben und anderen Messingteile waren einmal schwarz lackiert. Das rechtsseitige Okularstück hat einen Messingring als Augenmuschel. Die Objektivlinse ist mit einem Justierungsring montiert und die Fassung hat einen Abdeckring. Die Beschriftung und Bauweise lässt auf ein Herstellungsdatum zwischen 1900 und 1920 schließen. |
This Dollond monocular is marked "x6", the number 3147 as well as "Dollond London" in a diamond symbol. Its optical specifications are 6x16, having uncoated optics. The dioptre lines are marked at +5, 0 and -5. The aluminium housing has a black leather covering. A metal strip with a strap lug is attached by two screws to it. The brass cover plates have no screws. all brass parts once were painted black. The right-hand sided eyepiece has a brass ring as an eyecup. The objective lens is set with a retaining ring and covered with a brass decoration cap. The kind of marking and the glass's construction hint at a production date of 1900 - 1920. |
