Dollond London 6x25

Das Prismenmonokular stammt von "Dollond" (wohl identisch mit "Dolland") aus London; allerdings trägt die Objektiv-seitige Abdeckplatte die Inschrift "French Make", so dass es wahrscheinlich in Frankreich hergestellt wurde. Vermutlich stammt es vom Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts.

 This porro prism monocular was made by "Dollond", London (seems to be identical with "Dolland"). On the objective prism cover there is the inscription "French Make", so that one can assume it is made in France. It is probably made at the beginning of the 20. cent.


 

Das Monokular zeigt einige Gebrauchsspuren am schwarzen Lack der Messingteile sowie kleine grüne Lackspuren unbekannter Herkunft (Dichtungsfett, Grünspan?).
Die Aluminiumhülse für den Dioptrienausgleich (evtl. nicht mehr original) zeigt keine Funktion mehr, so dass sich das Glas nicht scharf stellen lässt.

Es wiegt 197g mit Ledertrageriemen, ist 10cm lang und das Prismengehäuse hat die Maße 6cm x 4 cm.
Es hat einen mittelbraunen Lederköcher.

The monocular shows signs of use on the brass parts and its black paint. There are also small traces of green paint or other origin (grease or verdigris?).
The aluminium knob for the dioptre adjustment (probably not original) does not work anymore. So focussing is not available.

It weighs 197g with the leather strap, it is 10cm long, the size of the prism body is 6cm x 4cm. It comes with a chestnut brown case.
