Hensoldt Dialyt II Vergr=6x Monocle

Das Hensoldt Dialyt ist ein 6x35 (6x36) Monokular mit der Bezeichnung "Dialyt II Hensoldt Wetzlar DRP Vergr=6x" sowie links unten die Seriennummer "63262" auf der Beschriftungsplatte. Es gehört zu den Erstserien-Dialyten zwischen 1905 und 1909 (II = 2. Serie). Die aufgespritzte Emaille ist größtenteils vorhanden. Die Augenmuschel ist nicht original. Das Dialyt hat einen Messingzierring zwischen Prismen- und Objektivtubus, ferner eine angenietete Messing-Öse, während die Erstserie vermutlich noch angeschraubte Trageösen hatte (s. Prospekt u.). Ein weiteres Exemplar mit erhaltener Beschriftungsplatte hat die Seriennummer 59674. Bei einem weiteren fehlt die Platte, stellt aufgrund der Trageöse jedoch eine andere Hälfte eines Fernglases dar.

This Hensoldt Dialyt is a 6x35 (6x36) monocular marked "Dialyt II Hensoldt Wetzlar DRP Vergr=6x" and with serial number "63262" at the bottom left corner of the labeling plate. It is one of the first Dialyt series between 1905 and 1909 (II = 2nd series). The enamel is mostly intact on the housing. The eyecup is not original. The Dialyt has a decorative brass ring between the prism and objective tube as well as a riveted slender brass strap lug, whereas the first series may have had the screwed-on strap lugs (see brochure below). Another specimen has serial number 59674 on the labeling plate. A third model misses this pplate. Because of the strap lug's position it represents the other half of a binocular.

Das Dialyt wiegt 261g (ohne Originalaugenmuschel), ist 15,2 - 16cm lang, am Prismenteil 36x42mm breit. Der Okulartubus ist 23mm, der Fokussierungsteil 26mm im Durchmesser, der Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 41,8 zu 43,5mm. Einen Eindruck über die originale Emaillierung des Alugussgehäuses macht ein Bild einer Fernglashälfte.

The Dialyt weighs 261g without its original eyecup. The monocular is 15.2 - 16 cm tall. The prism housing is 36x42 wide. The ocular tube measures 23mm, the focusing part 26mm in diameter. The objective tube increases from 41.8 to 43.5mm. A picture of a binocular half gives an impression of the original enamel finish at the cast aluminium housing.
