Dieses alte Carl Zeiss Jena 6x30 Monokular hat eine Lederummantelung und einen Ledertrageriemen. Die Seriennummer 1111851 sowie die Beschriftung mit "6x30" weist auf eine Herstellung um 1921 hin.

This old Carl Zeiss Jena 6x30 monocular has a leather covered body and a leather strap. The serial number 1111851 as well as the "6x30" marking refer to a production about 1921.

Das Gehäuse ist aus schwarz eloxiertem Aluminium (z.T. Messing ?); die Augenmuschel aus Kunststoff. Es wiegt 220g und die Maße sind 6,3cm x 11 bzw. 11,5 cm. Bei der dazugehörigen 14cm hohen Ledertasche fehlt der Trageriemen.

The body is made of black anodized aluminium (partly brass?), the eye cup is made of Bakelite. It weighs 220g and measures 6.3cm x 11.5cm. The leather case (14 cm high) misses its carrying strap.

Das Exemplar mit Seriennummer 1972319 von 1940, also bereits aus Zeiten des 2. Weltkrieges, hat noch keinen Herstellercode. Das Gehäuse hat eine strukturierte Hartgummiummatnelung und die Augenmuschel ist aus schwarzem Kunststoff.
Mit Lederriemen wiegt es 173g. Das Gehäuse ist oben 49x49mm und unten 52x52mm, die Objektivfassung 41mm im Durchmesser, das linksseitige Okular 24mm, der Fokussierungsteil 27mm und die Augenmuschel 33mm.

The specimen with serial number 1972319 from 1940 – WWII period – does not bear the WWII GErman maker's code. The housing has a textured ebonite covering and the eyecup is made of black plastic.
The glas weighs 173g with its leather strap. The housing measures 49x49mm at its top and 52x52mm at its bottom. The objective frame is 41mm, the lefthandsided ocula piece 24mm, the focusing part 27mm, and the eyecup 33mm in diameter.
