Carl Zeiss Jena 6fach

Das 6x18 Modell ist mit "6FACH" unter dem Zeiss Linsenlogo beschriftet. Es hat die Seriennummer 334 (weiteres Modell #299) auf dem Deckel am Rand des Okularstück eingraviert. Es wurde zwischen 1904 bis ca. 1906 mit dieser Beschriftung produziert. Es hat dreifach verschraubte schwarz lackierte Deckel und eine Lederummantelung am Gehäuse. Die halblange Trageriemenöse ist mit zwei Schrauben angeschraubt. Die Dioptrienskala ist komplett umlaufennd und bei +5, 0 und -5 markiert. Die Augenmuschel ist aus Kunststoff. Die Objektivlinse ist um 14mm in das Gehäuse zurück versetzt. die Objektivfassung ist innen gerillt und bietet so einen Blendschutz.

The 6x18 model is marked "6FACH" below the Zeiss lens logo. It has the serial number 334 (other model #299) which is stamped on the top cover near the eyepice. It was made between 1904 and c. 1906 with this inscription. It has black painted cover plates with three screws, and a leather covering on the housing. The halfwaay long strap lug is fixed to the body with two screws. The dioptre scale runs fully round the ocular tube and marked +5, 0 and -5. The eyecup is made of plastic. TRhe objective lens is retracted by 14mm into the housing, its frame being grooved, thus building a rayshade.
