Carl Zeiss 12x(40) "Teleduzmo"

Das Zeiss Teleduzmo 12x40 hat wie das 16x40 Modell einen langen konischen Objektivtubus und eine flache Augenmuschel. Die Seriennummer 319224 lässt es auf 1913 datieren. Es liegt in der bislang einzig bekannten Serie von 100 Stück (Nr. 319201-319300). Das linksseitige Okular hat eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala bis +/-10. Die dreifach verschraubten Messing-Deckel und anderen Metallteile sind schwarz lackiert. Das Gehäuse ist mit einem dunkelbraunen Rauhlack ummantelt und hat eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse. Die Augenmuschel ist Bakelit. Die Beschriftung am oberen Deckels hat die Seriennummer, das Zeiss-Linsenlogo und darunter "12x". Das Sehfeld liegt bei 61 m auf 1000m.

This Zeiss Teleduzmo 12x40 model has a longer conical tube and a shallow eyecup like the 16x40 model. The serial number 319224 dates it to 1913. It is one of the until now only known batch of 100 pieces (Nr. 319201-319300). The left-hand sided eyepeice has a dioptre scale running fully around the tube, ranging from + to - 10. The brass cover plates have threee screws and are painted black liek all other metal parts. The housing is coered with a dark brown Ebonite. It has a cast-in strap lug. The eyecup is made of Bakelite. The inscriptions on the top cover has the serail number, the Zeiss lens logo, and finally below this "12x". Its field of view is 61 yds at 1000 yds.

Auch die Maße es 12x Monokular sind fast identisch zum 16x Modell. Es ist 149 - 154 mm lang, oben am Gehäuse 51x51mm und unten 57x57mm breit; dabei ist das Prismengehäuse 65,5 mm hoch, während der Objektivtubus 57mm lang und 41-51mm im Durchmesser misst. Die 40mm Objektivlinse ist ca. 9mm in den Tubus zurückversetzt. Das linksseitige Okularstück ist 24 mm, der Fokussierungsring 33,5 mm und die Augenmuschel 35 mm im Durchmesser. Es wiegt 395g.

Also the dimesnions of the 12x are almost the same as the 16x monocular. It measures 149 - 154 mm long, measuring 51x51mm at the top and 57x57mm at its bottom of the 65.5 mm long housing. The objective tube is 57mm long and increases from 41mm to 51mm in diameter. The 40mm objective lens is recessed about 9mm into the objective tube. The left-hand sided eyepiece is 24 mm, the focusing ring 33.5. mm and the eyecup 35 mm in diameter. It weighs 395g.
