Das Monokular hat eine 10fache Vergrößerung, fokussiert ab 3m, hat einem Objektivdurchmesser von 50mm,und ist 17 cm lang und 8 (x 6) cm breit und wiegt 476 g. Das Sehfeld liegt bei 128m/1000m.

The monocular has 10x power. It focuses from 3m onwards, and the objective lens diameter is 50mm. It is 17 cm long, measures 8 x 6 cm at the body, and weighs 476 g. Field of view is 128m/1000m.

Im Laufe der Jahre gab es bei dem 10x50 aus der DDR verschiedene Deckelbeschriftungen, mit oder ohne "1Q"-Zeichen, mit oder ohne "DDR" und auch Exportmodelle mit "JENA" oder "aus Jena" (vgl. CZJ 7x50). Bei späten Modellen zur Wendzeit wurden die Ziffern links- und rechtbündig unter das Zeiss-Logo gesetzt; dies wurde bei den Folgereihen von Docter-Optics so weitergeführt. Einige Exemplare haben im Inneren am Prismenstuhl eine Fertigungsnummer.

During years of GDR production there were different markings on the cover plates: with or without "1Q" sign, with or without "DDR" and export models with "JENA" or "aus Jena" (cf. CZJ 7x50). Late models about the time shortly before and after German reunification came with specification numbers aligned left and right below th Zeiss logo; this was continued on usccessive Docter-Optics models. Some models had a production number engraved at the prism cage inside.
