Carl Zeiss Wien 6x24

Winkelfernrohr / Halbschere

Anders als das Zeiss Jena 10x26 Winkelfernrohr ist diese Zeiss Wien Modell eine 6x24 Halbschere mit schwereren Messingteilen, dickerem Prismengehäuse und einer Fadenkreuzstrichplatte mit Beleuchtungsfenster. Auf dem Gehäuse ist es mit dem Zeiss-Logo "Carl Zeiss Wien" und "Nr. 730408" (letzte Ziffer undeutlich!) graviert. Das Gehäuse und die Tubusteile sind grüngrau lackiert, am konischen Haupttubus ist die Lackierung komplett abgeplatzt. Auch die drehbare runde Objektivschutzkappe zeigt an den Seiten das blanke Aluminium. Das Okular und Augenmuschel sind schwarz lackiert. Die Dioptrienskala läuft rundherum und ist bei +/-5 gekennzeichnet. Der hölzerne Haltegriff (s. Foto des Exemplars Nr. 730549) fehlt.

Carl Zeiss Wien 6x24 Periscope

Different from the Zeiss Jena 10x26 Winkelfernrohr, this Zeiss Vienna model is a 6x24 half-scissor with heavier brass parts, thicker prism housing and a reticle with cross-hairs and with an illumination window. It is engraved on the case with the Zeiss logo "Carl Zeiss Vienna" and "No. 730408" (last digit unclear!). The housing and the tube parts are painted green-grey; the paint on the conical main tube has completely chipped off. The rotating round objective lens cap shows the bare aluminum on the sides. The eyepiece and eyecup are painted black. The dioptre scale runs all the way around the eyepeice and is marked at +/-5. The wooden handle is missing (see photo of specimen no. 730549).

Das Winkelfernrohr ist ohne Handgriff 377mm lang. Das 37 mm dicke Prismengehäuse ist 58 mm im Durchmesser. Vom Tubusansatz bis zur Unterseite ist es 67 mm lang. Der Tubus verbreitert sich von 36 auf 47mm. Bis zum Objektivteil ist er 26,5cm lang. Der Objektivkopf ist 42mm lang und 47 mm im Durchmesser. Das Objektivfenster in der drehbaren Schutzhülse ist 31x31mm. Das Okularstück ist 25mm, der Fokussierungsring 27,5mm und die Augenmuschel 33mm im Durchmesser. Das Winkelfernrohr wiegt 941g. The periscope without it handle is 377mm long. The 37mm thick prism housing is 58mm in diameter. From the tube to its bottom it is 67 long. The tube increases from 36mm to 47mm. It is 26.5cm long. The obejctive head is 42mm long and 47mm in diameter. The objective window in the rotatable protection sleeve is 31x31mm. The eyepiece measures 25mm, the focusing ring 27.5mm, and the eyecup 33mm in diameter.
