Busch 6x "Ultralux"

Die zweite Bauweise des Busch Modells "Ultralux" ab ca. 1912-1915 hat die optischen Werte 6x24, womit die Objektivlinse gegenüber dem ersten Ultralux etwas verkleinert wurde. Die Kataloge listen es weiterhin mit einem 25mm Objektiv. Das Gehäuse aus Aluminium, hat schwarz lackierte dreifach verschraubte Messing-Deckel - nunmehr in der klassischen "Herzform" -, eine Raulackummantelung und eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse. Es enthält Porro-I-Prismen. Das rechtsseitige Okular ist aus schwarz lackiertem Messing und hat einen umlaufende Dioptrienskala, die bei +5 und -5 beschriftet ist. Die 1/3 Augenmuschel ist aus Bakelit. Der obere Deckel ist mit dem Busch-Logo, der Beschriftung "Busch-Ultralux", darunter nur "6x", aber ohne Seriennummer gekennzeichnet. Es gibt die für Busch typischen zwei Schrauben in den äußerene Deckelrändern zum Ausrichten der Prismen innen.

The second version of the Busch "Ultralux" model, produced from approximately 1912–1915, has optical specifications of 6x24. This is a slightly reduced objective lens size compared to the ersten Ultralux, even though catalogs continued to list it with a 25mm objective. The aluminum body has black-lacquered, triple-screw brass covers—now in the classic "heart shape"—a textured lacquer finish, and an cast-in strap lug. It comes with Porro I prisms. The right-hand eyepiece is made of black-lacquered brass and features a circumferential diopter scale marked at +5 and -5. The 1/3 eyecup is made of Bakelite. The top cover bears the Busch logo and the inscription "Busch-Ultralux," followed simply by "6x" below it, but lacks a serial number. It features the two screws typical of Busch—located at the outer rims of the covers—for aligning the internal prisms.

Das Ultralux ist 93-103 mm lang. Das Gehäuse misst oben 46,5x46,5mm und unten 48x48 mm. Die 10 mm lange Objektivfassung ist 31 mm im Durchmesser. Die Objektivlinse ist um 11 mm zurückversetzt. Das Okularstück misst 19 mm, der kreuzgeriffelte Fokussierungsring 26 mm und die Augenmuschel 34 mm im Durchmesser. Das 6x24 wiegt 210 g.

The Ultralux is 93–103 mm long. The housing measures 46.5 x 46.5 mm at the top and 48 x 48 mm at the bottom. The 10 mm long objective frame has a diameter of 31 mm. The objective lens is recessed by 11 mm. The eyepiece measures 19 mm in diameter, the cross-knurled focusing ring 26 mm, and the eyecup 34 mm. The 6x24 model weighs 210 g.
