Diese schwere Monokular mit 3er-Okularrevolver hat eine Schwalbenschwanzmontierung, ein herunter klappbares Kreiskorn und eine ausziehbare Sonnenblende. Die Beschriftungsplatte an der rechten Seite ist mit "M Emil Busch Rathenow DF. 12x20x40x80 Nr. 1282" graviert. "M" könnte für Marine stehen. Die Bezeichnung "DF." deutet auf ein Doppel-Fernrohr, Verbindungselemente zu einem zweiten Teleskop sind jedoch nicht zu erkennen, es sei denn zwei solcher Monokulare wurden parallel mit dem Schwalbenschwanzsockel montiert. Die Lackierung ist blaugrau, was für eine Marinenutzung spricht. Evtl. wurde das Monokular zum Anvisieren von Flugzeugen genutzt. Der Okularrevolver rastet für jede Okulastellung ein. Die Okulare haben eine Dioptrieneinstellung von plus bis minus 5. Für jedes Okular gibt es einen Gelbfilter. Der Kornkreis lässt sich mittels einer Flügelschraube leicht demontieren. Die Optik ist unvergütet. Das Monokular wurde ggf. im 2. WK gebaut. Da der Zustand einwandfrei ist, ist es fraglich, ob es je im Einsatz war.

This heavy monocular with a triple eyepiece revolver comes with a dovetail mount, a foldable circle sight and an extendable sunshade. The inscription plate on the right side is engraved "M Emil Busch Rathenow DF. 12x20x40x80 Nr. 1282". "M" may stand for "Marine". The designation "DF." hints to a "Doppel-Fernrohr" (double telescope), but there are no joining pieces for a second telescope visible, unless two of these telescopes were parallel mounted with the dovetails. The painting is blueish-grey, a aspect that lets assume a naval use. The monocualr wa porbably used to aim at airplanes. The turret snaps into position for each eyepiece. The eyepieces have a dioptre adjstment ranging from plus to minus 5. There is a yellow filter for each eyepiece. The circle sight can be easily detached by unsrewing a wing screw. The optical parts are uncoated, so the monocular was probably made during WWII. As its condition is excellent, the monocular may never have come into use.

Das Gehäuse ist 104mm lang, 87mm sowie 111mm breit und 120mm hoch. Der Okularrevolver ist 78mm im Durchmesser. Die drei Okulare 12x, 20x und 40x haben folgende Durchmesser für das Okularstück: 40mm, 31mm, 31mm Fokussierungsteil: 42mm, 35mm, 35mm Augenmuschel: alle 34mm.
