BOB Optik 8-20x50 Zoom-Telephoto-Monokular

Das BOB Optik Zoom-Telephoto-Monokular ähnelt sehr dem Horizon 8-20x45, hat aber ein 50er Objektiv. Das Monokular wurde in Japan (s. Prüfaufkleber des Jap. Telescope Inspection institute) und hat den Code JB-46 für die Firma "Otsuka Kogaku Co. Ltd., Tokio". Als weitere Bechriftung auf dem oberen Deckel ist der Modelltyp T-820, das Weitwinkelsehfeld von "61m/1000m bei 20x" und "No. 1109" angegeben. Das Porro-1-Glas hat ein Gehäuse in Bausch & Lomb-Form mit eingelassenem Stativgewinde. Die Linsen sind grün vergütet. Alle Einstellringe sind aus silbernem Aluminium mit einem Gummierungsring für guten Halt. Die Objektivfokussierung ist mit Entfernungsangaben von Meter (weiße Zahlen) und Fuß (rote Zahlen) markiert und reicht von 6m bis unendlich (20 ft. bis unendlich). Der dem Gehäuse nahe Ring am Okular dient zur Vergrößerungseinstellung zwischen 8fach und 20fach. Der weiter Justierring fungiert als Kontermutter zur Fixierung beim Gebrauch einer Kamera. Am 46mm Okulargewinde ist derzeit ein Adapterring mit Verbreiterung auf ein 49mm Gewinde aufgechraubt. Ebenso ist ein Gewindering mit Gummiaugenmuschel angeschraubt.

The "BOB Optik Zoom-Telephoto-Monokular" resembles the Horizon 8-20x45, but has 50mm objective. The monocular was made in Japan (s. label by Jap. Telescope Inspection institute) and has code JB-46 imprinted which stands for "Otsuka Kogaku Co. Ltd., Tokyo". Further markings on the top cover are the model type "T-820", the wide angle field of view of "61m/1000m bei 20x" and "No. 1109". This porro-1-glass has a Bausch & Lomb body with a cast-in tripod thread. The lenses are coated green. All adjustment rings are silvery aluminium with some rubber ring for a firm grip. The objective focusing is labeled with distance numbers in meter (white numbers) and feet (red numbers). They range from 6m to infinity (20 ft. to infinity). The adjustment ring near to the housing works as the power adjustment continously zooming from 8 to 20 times. The other adjustment ring fucntions as a counter screw when using the monocular as a telephoto-lens with a camera. There is a 49mm adpter ring screwed on the 46mm thread of the ocular. Also a rtthreaded rubber eyecup ring is screwed on.

Das BOB 8-20x ist 185 bis 193mm lang. Das Gehäuse ist oben 78x59mm breit Der Objektivtubus beginnt mit einem 55mm Durchmesser und endet bei 67mm. Die Okulareinstellringe sind 48mm, die Augenmuschel 40mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 572g.
