Bausch & Lomb "Zeiss-Stereo Day Marine Glass" Power-10

Monokulare Hälfte Hier ist die linke Hälfte eines sehr frühen Bausch & Lomb 10x25 Feldstechers, der als "Zeiss-Stereo Day Marine Glass" bezeichnet ist. Es ist eines der in Zeiss-Lizenz gefertigten B&L Gläser. Der schwarz lackierte obere flache Messingdeckel ist mit der von B&L verwendeten alter Frakturschrift beschriftet. In Lateinischer Schrift ist das Patentdatum "PAT JUNE 22.97" sowie "POWER 10" notiert. Die Deckel sind dreifach verschraubt. Am Leder ummantelten Gehäuse ist eine kurze Trageriemenöse angeschraubt. Das rechtsseitig Okular hat eine 2/3 Augenmuschel und eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala mit Ziffern bei +5, -5 und 0. Der mit fünf Schraublöchern versehene Brückenansatz ist noch gut zu erkennen.

Monocular Half Here we have the left half of a quite early Bausch & Lomb 10x25 field-glass which is marked as "Zeiss-Stereo Day Marine Glass". It is one of those models produced after a Zeiss-licence. The black lacquered flat top cover plate is inscribed with the old Gothic script used by B&L at first. It continues in Latin script to state the patent date "PAT JUNE 22.97" as well as "POWER 10". The cover plates are fixed by three screws. The leather covered housing has a short screwed-on strap-lug. The right-hand sided ocular has a 2/3 eyecup and a full dioptre scale marked at +5, -5 and 0. The hinge fixing plate with its five screw holes can be clearly seen.

Diese Hälfte wiegt 307g. Je nach Okularjustierung ist es zwischen 10 und 10,6 cm lang. Das Prismengehäuse ist oben 57x57mm und unten 62x62mm breit. Die Metalllippe der Trageöse ist 21mm lang. Die Objektivfassung hat einen 31mm Durchmesser. Das Okularstück ist 24,5mm, der Fokussierungsteil 31mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser.

This half weighs 307g. Depending on ocular adjusment it is between 10 and 10.6 cm in length. The prism housing measures 57x57mm at its top and 62x62mm at its bottom. The metal strip of the lug is 21mm long. The objective frame is 31mm, the eyepiece 24.5mm, the focusing part 31mm, and the eyecup 34mm in diameter.
