Adens Monox

Dieses Galileische Monokular mit einem Zugtubus ist an der Augenmuschel mit "Adens Monox Japan" beschriftet. Ich sschätze, es ist aus der frühen Nachkriegszeit (1945-1951) als Japan besetzt war. Es hat eine 3 bis 3,5fache Vergrößerung bei einer 40mm Objektivlinse. Die Teile sind aus silber polierten Eisen/Zink und das zwölf-flächige eckige konische Tubus ist mit einem schwarzen Schrumpflack bemalt. Zusammengeschoben ist es 75mm, ausgezogen 108mm lang. Der Objektivrahmen ist 53mm, der Auszugstubus 25mm und das okular40mm im Durchmesser. Das "Monox" wiegt 135 g.

This Galilean monocular with a draw tube is marked "Adens Monox Japan" at its eyecup- I assume it was made during early post-war times of occupied Japan. The glass ha a zththree or three and a half times magnification and a 40mm objective lens. The parts are made of iron/zinc with a silvery polished finish. The dodecahedral conical shaped tube is covered with a black crinkle paint. The monocular is 75mm closed, and 108mm extended. The objective frame is 53mm, the draw tube 25mm, and the eyecup 40mm in diameter. The "Monox" weighs 135g.
