Hans Hensoldt 7x42 Dialyt

Aus den 50er Jahren des 20. Jh. stammt dieses Dialyt-Monokular mit den Werten 7x42 der Fa. "Hans Hensoldt" (Enkel von M. Hensoldt). Es hat die typische kegelförmige geradlinige Gehäuseform der Dachkantprismen-Monokulare nach Abbe-König. Das Monokular ist aus schwarz lackiertem Messing und Aluminium mit Razhlackummantelung sowie einer Kunststoffaugenmuschel gefertigt. Das Okular hat einen Dioptrienausgleich von +/-5 mit Beschriftungen bei +/- 0, 2 und 4. Zwischen Okularstück und Prismengehäuse gibt es einen Ring mit 2 Trageriemenösen. Am Prismengehäuse befindet sich der Beschriftungssockel mit einem Linsen-Logo, darin "Hans Hensoldt" sowie darunter "Wetzlar" und "7x42". Die Gravierungen sind leicht bis stark korrodiert. Dieser Sockel hat eine Schwalbenschwanzform, so dass das Glas evtl. auch auf eine Montageschiene eines Stativs oder Gewehrs geschoben werden konnte. Das binokulare Modell wurde so auch als "Jagdglas" geführt.

This Dialyt monocular 7x42 by "Hans Hensoldt" (grandson of M. Hensoldt) dates from the 50s of the 20th century. It has the typical conical straight shape of the Abbe-Koenig roof-top prism glasses. The monocular is made of black lacquered brass and aluminium wiht a crinkle paint covering. The eyecup os made of plastic. The dioptre scale ranges from +5 to -4, the scale being amrked at 0, 2 and 4. Between the ocular and the prism housing is a ring with two strap lugs. There is a label plate engraved with a lens-logo, "Hans Hensoldt" name therein, below "Wetzlar 7x42". The inscriptions are slightly to severely corroded. The mount has a dove tail shape, thus the monocular could be attached to a tripod or to a gun as a telescopic sight. The binocular version was called "Jagdglas" (= Hunting Glass).

Das Monokular ist 184-196mm lang, 43,5 bis 52mm im Durchmesser und wiegt 369g. Das Okularstück ist 32mm, das Fokussierungstück 37mm und die Augenmuschel 36mm im Durchmesser. Der Beschriftungs- und Montagesockel ist 55x26mm breit.
