Zeiss Dialyt 8x56 B/GA T*

Das 8x56 kam 1990 bei Zeiss Oberkochen heraus. Es hat die typische Dialyt-Form der Hensoldt-Monokulare, wurde von Zeiss aber mit Gummiarmierung (=GA) produziert (vgl. Hensoldt 8x56). Die Gummiummantelung ist am runden Objektivende an einer Seite gerade gehalten, evtl. um damit das Monokular beim Ablegen auf eine Fläche nicht wegrollen kann. Es hat eine umklappbare Augenmuschel (= B - Brillenträger geeignet). Die Optik ist voll vergütet in einer MagentaBeschichtung (T* ist die Zeiss Vergütung) und einen Dioptrienausgleich von +5 bis -5 am Okular. Mir bekannte Seriennummer sind 748228 und 748270.

The 8x56 was issued in 1990 by Zeiss Oberkochen. It was made in the typical Hensoldt Dialyt design, but was supplied by Zeiss with a rubber armouring (=GA) (cf. Hensoldt 8x56). This rubber covering is flat on one side of the ohterwise round objective tube probably in order to keep the monocular from rolling when put on a surface. It has a foldable rubber eye-cup (=B - Brillenträger geeignet = for spectacle weares). It is fully coated - magenta - (T* is a Zeiss coating) and has dioptre adjustment from +5 to -5. Serial numbers known to me are 748228 and 748270.

Das Monokular wiegt 466 g mit Trageriemen. Es ist zwischen 23,2cm und 24cm lang. Das Okular hat einen Durchmesser von 32mm bzw. 37mm am Fokusxierungsring. Das Prismengehäuse ist oben 42mm, ist beim Übergang zum Objektivtubus 48mm und dieser hat einen Durchmesser von 68mm am Objektivende. Die Objektivlinse liegt ca. 12mm zurückgesetzt im Tubus.

The monocular weighs 466g with its carrying strap. It is between 23.2 and 24cm long. The ocular has a diameter of 32mm and 37mm at the knurled focusing part. The prism housing starts at 42mm in diameter, increases to 48mm at the transition point to the objective tube, the latter which ends with 68 att the objective. The objective lens is recessed by ca. 12mm.
