Voigtländer Galileisches Zugteleskop

Dieses Galileische Kleinteleskop oder Monokular mit einem Auszug stammt von Voigtländer & Sohn aus Braunschweig, vermutlich um 1900 oder früher. Es ist aus Messing mit einem lederummantelten konischen Haupttubus und einem schwarz lackierten gerade Objektivende. Auch die Augenmuschel aus Metall war schwarz lackiert. Sie ist mit "VOIGTLÆNDER & SOHN" kreisförmig beschriftet. Der Messingauszug hat eine kragenförige Ausstülpung, so dass er sich nicht vollständig hineinschieben lässt.

Galilean 1 Draw Telescope

This small Galilean telescope or monocular with one draw was made by Voigtlaender & Sohn in Braunschweig, and dates from around 1900 or earlier. It is a brass construction with a leather covered conical main tube and a black painted straigth objective tube. The metal eyecup iwas lacquereed black as well. It is marked "VOIGTLÆNDER & SOHN" in a circle. The brass draw has a protruding part that prevents the tube from fully sliding in.
Zusammengeschoben ist das 260g schwere Glas 175mm, ausgezogen 205mm lang. Die Augenmuschel ist 38mm, der Okularauszug 33mm, der Haupttubus 40mm bis 52mm und der gerade Objektivtubus 58mm im Durchmesser. Die Objektivlinse ist ca. 48mm im Durchmesser. Es wird eine 6fache Vergrößerung erreicht. The 260g glass measures 175mm when closed, and 205mm when extended. The eyecup is 38mm, the ocular tube 33mm, the main tube 40mm to 52mm, and tje straigth end part 58mm in diameter. The objective lens has a 48mm diameter. Magnification is about 6 times.
