SPI 7x35

Das 7x35 Monokular von SPI (Southern Precision Instruments Co., San Antonio, TX) wurde in Japan von T.O.C. (= evtl. Tokyo Optical Co.) gefertigt. Der untere Deckel ist entsprechend gekennzeichnet und trägt die Nummer "511A". Der obere Deckel hat ein Rautenlogo mit SPI-Beschriftung, ist mit den Werten und Vergütungshinweis sowie der Seriennummer 15723 beschriftet. Die Deckel sind einfach verschraubt und schwarz lackiert. Das Gehäuse hat eine Hartgummiummnatelung und eine eingegossene Trageriemenöse. Wie bei vielen andern 7x35 Exemplaren ist der Objektivtubus konisch. Das rechtseitige Okular hat eine Plastikaugenmuschel und eine Dioptrieneinstellung von +2 bis -4. The lower cover is marked correspondingly to that and als bears number "511A". The upper cover comes with a diamond SPI emblem, being marked with its specifications, denoting a coating, and stating serial number 15723. The cover paltes have one screw and are painted black. The body has a Ebonite covering and a cast-in strap lug. Like many other 7x35 models this one has a conical objective tube. The right-hand sided eyepiece has a plastic eyecup and a dioptre scale ranging from +2 to -4.

Das 7x35 ist 141-147mm lang, wiegt 254g mit dem Trageriemen und ist am Gehäuse 50x50 bzw. 55x55mm breit. Der Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 40mm auf 48mm und das Okular ist 28mm, der Fokussierungsteil 35mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser. The 7x35 is 141-147mm long, weighs 254g with its carrying strap, and measures 50x50mm or 55x55mm at the housing. The objective tube increases from 40mm to 48mm in diameter, and the eyepiece is 28mm, the focusing part 35mm and the eyecup 34mm in diameter.
