Ross 10x50 "Stepmonsak"

Bei dem mit "Stepmonsak" beschrifteten 10x50 Porro-2-Prismen-Modell von Ross London handelt es sich eventuell um einen Vorläufer des ab ca. 1934 erhältlichen "Stepmonak". Es ist noch mit "Power 10" ohne Angabe des Objektivdurchmessers, aber mit "File 7°" gekennzeichnet. Außerdem hat das Monokular eine ausziehbare Sonnenblende. Es ist mit einem sturkturiertem Hartgummi ummantelt bzw. die Aluminiumteile sind schwarz lackiert. Am oberen Prismengehäuse befinden sich gegenüber zwei Trageriemenösen. Der Deckel ist dreifach verschraubt und intergriert eine Befestigugnshülse, in der der zunächst ein Zwischenring, dann das Okularstück aus Messing geschraubt und jeweils mit einer Madenschraube fixiert sind. Der Messing-Dioptrienring hat eine Skaleneinteilung von +/-3. Der Fokussierungsteil ist plus geriffelt (+) und die Hartgummi-Augenmuschel ist mit einem Metallgewindering aufgeschraubt.

Das Stepmonsak ist 192-202mm lang. Der konische Tubus verbreitert sich von 35 auf 56mm im Durchmesser, der gerade Objektivtubus ist 63mm und die 31mm lange Sonnenblende 67mm im Durchmesser. Letztere lässt sich 15mm ausziehen, wobei dann das Objektiv fas 30mm zurückversetzt innen liegt. Das Gehäuse ist 37mm hoch und 65mm im Durchmesser. Das Okularstück misst 31mm, der Fokussierungsteil 35mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 561g.
