Ranging 6x18 "Wristscope"

Das kleine 6x18 Monokular wurde in Japan gefertigt und von Ranging Inc. aus Rochester zu verschiedenen Zwecken vertrieben. Zum einen gibt es das 6x18 als "Wristscope" - Armband-Teleskop -, das wie eine Armbanduhr getragen werden kann (Bogenschießen, Stadion usw.), zum anderen gibt es eine Version ohne Halterung für den Ranging "Rangematic 1000" Entfernungsmesser, das mit der Nut am Objektivring am Entfernugnsmesser einrastet (s. Ranging Rangematic 1000, Bild 8). Es ist ein Porro-1-Prismen-Monokular (geöffnet s. unter Technische Infos) mit einer Geradführung der Okularfokussierung und einer Objektivfassung mit Ringnut. Die Optik ist blau vergütet. Die flache Augenmuschel ist aus Plastik. Das Metallgehäuse ist schwarz lackiert und hat beim "Wristscope" eine Befestigung für das Armband, bei dem anderen Modell einen mit 4 Schrauben befestigten Deckel. Die dachförmige Seite des 6x18 ist mit dem "Ranging Inc." logo sowie "6x18 Made in Japan" sowie einem Z in einer Raute beschriftet. Weitere Exemplare sind das Bushnell 6x18 Golfscope und das mit "Ednar Wristscope 6x18 Japan" und dem Z in eine Raute beschriftet. Unter dem Marknenamen "Ednar" produziert "Katsuma Kogaku Kikai Co. Ltd." zwischen 1987-95, ggf. noch heute, Ferngläser.

This small 6x18 monocular was made in Japan and distributed by Ranging Inc. Rochester in different versions. One is the "6x18 Wristscpüe" (archery, stadium ...) , which can be carried like a wristwatch - hence its name, the other is a model without band attachment that is used as a monocuzlar on the Ranging "Rangematic 1000" rangefinder, being clamped to it with the objective ring groove if the scope (s. Ranging Rangematic 1000, pic 8). It is a porro 1 prism monocular (opened view at Technical Infos) with a linear movement of the focusing ocular. The objective frame has got a groove. Optics ar coated blue. The flat eyecup is made of plastic. The metal body is lacquered black and has a band attachment at the side in case of the Wristscope, wheras the other model has a cover plate with four screws. The roof-shaped side of the scope is marked with the "Ranging Inc." logo, "6x18 Made in Japan" as well as a"Z" within a diamond. Other identical pieces are the Bushnell 6x18 Golfscope and the model labled "Ednar Wristscope 6x18 Japan" plus the Z iwithin the diamond. "Ednar" was the tradename of "Katsuma Kogaku Kikai Co. Ltd." that produced binocualr between 1987 and 1995, probably also today.

Das 6x18 ist 69mm lang, das Gehäuse 47x43x33mm breit. Das Okular ist 24mm, die Objektivfassung 23mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 115g ohne, 125g mit Armband.
