Mikko 30x40 Zielfernrohr

Mykko 30x40 Gun-Sight

This monocular gun-sight has a 483g body with a blueish-grey or black painting. It has a tripod thread. In spite of its 30times magnification it has a very compct design, being 17.3cm in length and 51mm wide at its objective tube. The 40mm objective lens is coated vlue. It is set into a shiny aluminium ring. The sight can be focussed with a black painted knurled ring at the 32mm eyepiece. It has an inline focussing, i.e. one of the ocular lenses is moved inside the tube. The end üpiece of the ocular can be turned for dioptre adjustment and has got a soft rubber eye-cup. There is a cross-hairs reticle inside the ocular, which hints to a use as a targetting device or gun-sight.
The monocular is marked "MYKKO", and opposite marked "3 T 30x" with cyrillic letters each (= ZT-30). A metal ring inside the objective tube is stamped "N10700". It was and is still made by the Russian company UOMZ (Ural optical Mechanical Plant, Yekaterinburg).
