Köln Optik 7x25

Das für Köln Optik in Japan hergestellte 7x25 Dachkantprismen-Monokular ist aus Metall mit einer blaugrauen Raulackummantelung. Außer der Firmen- und Wertebezeichnung trägt es auch die Angabe "178m auf 1000m" und darunter die Nummer 73-34579 sowie das Logo des japanischen Herstellers (vermutlich Specwell, s. dort). Der Tubus läuft etwas konisch zu. Er ist am Objektivende 40mm und am Okular 35mm breit. Die Länge beträgt 11,8cm. Die Optik ist vergütet. Als Besonderheit hat das Monokular eine Geradführung der Okularlinse zur Fokussierung, d.h. das Okular dreht sich beim Dioptrienausgleich nicht mit. Es hat eine zurückklappbare Gummiaugenmuschel. Das 188g schwere Glas könnte aus den 70er oder 80er Jahren des 20Jh. stammen.

The 7x25 roof-top prism monocular made for Köln Optik (Cologne Optics) in Japan has a metal body with a blue-grey covering. Besides its firm's name and specifications it is marked with "178m auf 1000m" (i.e. 178m at 1000m) and below with the number 73-34579. There also is the Japanese producer's logo - probably Specwell, cf. 7x25 model). The tube is slightly conical, being 40mm at the objective end, and 35mm at the ocular. The optics are coated. As a special feature the monocular's focusing works by linear movement, that is: the foldable rubber eye-cup does not turn during dioptre adjustment, but the ocular lens system is moved inline the eyepiece. The 188g glass could date from the 70s or 80s of the 20th century.
