Fraser Volpe Stedi-Eye 12x47

Dieses "Fraser Volpe" Monokular wurde um 1972/73 gebaut und hat eine Einrichtung zur Bildstabilisierung (=stedi-eye) – ein federnd aufgehangenes und durch Masse stabilisiertes System. Beschriftung mit: "Stedi-Eye 12x 47mm FOV 229ft@1000yds Patent applied for Fraser Volpe Corporation. Maple, Gleen PA. 19002".

Aufgrund der bildstabilisierenen Konstruktionsweise ist es breiter als normale monokulare Handfernrohre. Das mit Kunstleder bezogene achteckige Alu-Gehäuse ist ca. 9x13cm breit und 18,5cm lang. Der sichtbare Bereich der vergüteten Objektivlinse miss 45mm. Diese ist in einen 55mm breiten vorstehenden Rahmen des Gehäuses eingesetzt. Das Okularteil ist 3,5cm im Durchmesser und ca. 4cm lang. Es hat eine Gummiaugenmuschel und einen Dioptrienausgleich von +2 bis -4. Das Stedi-Eye wiegt nicht ganz 1 Kilo und lässt sich mit einem Trageriemen oder in der passenden Kunstledertasche mit Reissverschluss tragen. Due to its image stabilized construction it is much broader than a normal monocular. The octagonal aluminium housing covered with fake leather measures 9x13x18.5cm. The visible diameter of the coated objective lens is 45mm. The obejective is set into a protruding 53mm frame of the body. The eye-piece is 3.5cm in diameter and ca. 4cm long. There is a rubber eye-cup and a dioptre adjustment of +2 to -4. The Stedi-Eye weighs almost 1 kilogram. It can be carried at its plastic strap or with the matching fake leather zippered case.
