Hensoldt Dialyt Monokular "Monimrod" 10x50

Dies ist ein sehr gut erhaltenes Dialyt aus der Erstserie ab 1905, wie es im Katalog von "Scharnbeck, Rathenow" (1911) als "Monimrod" aufgeführt wird (s. Dialyt 5x35). Wie dort beschrieben hat das Monokular eine schwarze Emaillebeschichtung des Aluminiumtubus, die der Oberfläche von Leder sehr ähnlich aussieht, hat einen dreifach angeschraubten Metallstreifen (37x7mm) für den Trageösenring (Kontermutterplatte im Inneren, s. Foto offenes Glas), einen geriffelten zwischen die beiden Tubusteile gesteckten Messingzierring. Die Objektivfassung ist schwarz lackiert, so wie der Okulartubus und der Dioptrienring. Dieser hat umlaufende Markierungen, aber ist nur mit plus, minus und Null gekennzeichnet. Die 2/3 Augenmuschel ist aus Bakelit mit einer geraden Kreuzriffelung. Die zweifach verschraubte Beschriftungsplatte (65x22mm) am Prismengehäuse ist aus schwarz lackierten Messing und trägt die Inschrift "Hensoldt Wetzlar D.R.P. Vergr=10x" – in der linken unteren Ecke ist die Seriennummer 54740 eingraviert.

This is a well-preserved Dialyt of the first series since 1905, so described in the 1911 catalogue by "Scharnbeck Rathenow" and named "Monimrod" (s. Dialyt 5x35). The aliminium tube has a black enamel covering resembling a leather finish. There is a metal strip (37x7mm) for the lug ring attached with three screws amd countered with an metal plate inside the tube (s. photo opened glass). Between the both tube parts a knurled brass ring is set. The objective frame and the eyepiece are painted black. So is the dioptre ring with its division lines all around, but only marked with zero, plus and minus. The 2/3 eyecup is made of Bakelite and has astraight cross grooves. The label plate (65x22mm) is made of black painted brass amd fixed by two screws to the prism housing. It is marked "Hensoldt Wetzlar D.R.P. Vergr=10x" – the serail number 54740 os engraved into the bottom left corner.

Das Monimrod wiegt - anders als im Katalog - 435g. Es ist zwischen 18,8 und 19,4cm lang, wobei das Prismengehäuse 87mm und der Objektivtubus 70mm lang ist. Die Objektivfassung ist 58mm, der Objektivtubus 51-59mm, das Prismengehäuse oben 43mm und unten 51mm im Durchmesser. Die Gehäuseseite mit gerader Fläche ist 51-53mm dick. Das Okularstück 22mm, der Dioptrienring 25,5mm und der Fokussierungsteil 30,5mm, die Augenmuschel 37mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wurde mit passendem Lederköcher geliefert.

The Monimrod weighs – different to the catalogue data – 435g. It measures between 188 and 194mm, whereas the prism housing is 87mm an dthe objective tube is 70mm. The objective frame is 58mm, the objective tube 51-59mm, the prism tube 43 mm at its top and 51mm at its bottom in diameter. The flat housing at its flat side is 51-53mm wide. The eyepiece has a 22mm diameter, the dioptre ring has a 25.5mm diameter. The focusing part is 30.5mm, whereas the eyecup is 37mm in diameter. The monocular came with a fitting leather case.
