Carl Zeiss (blc) 10x45
| Wie das Sucher-Fernrohr 6x30 wurde dieses 10x45 Monokular mit einem rechwinkligen (90°) Einblick am 4 Meter Raumbild-Entfernungsmessern - "Em 4m R(H)" - und am Kommandohilfsgerät 35 zum Anvisieren und Ausrichten benutzt. Entweder wurde es als Beobachtungsfernrohr (B.-F.) oder als Richtmann-Fernrohr (Ri.-F.) bezeichnet. Je nach Herstellungszeit vor oder im 2. Weltkrieg finden sich der Firmenname "Carl Zeiss Jena" oder der Herstellercode "blc" an einer der beiden angeschraubten Beschriftungsplatten auf der Okularrückseite des Gehäuses. (s. Fotos) | Like the direction finder scope 6x30 this 10x45 monocular with its right-angled eyepiece was mounted to the 4 meter range finder - "Em 4m R(H)" - and to the "Kommandohilfsgerät 35" for aligning and aiming. It was labeled either as "Beobachtungsfernrohr (B.-F.)" or as "Richtmann-Fernrohr (Ri.-F.)". Depending on its production date before or during WWII it is marked with the company name "Carl Zeiss Jena" or with the maker's code "blc" on one of the two screwed-on plaques at the rear side of the hosuing. | Das Okular hat eine Strichplatte mit einem Visier- und Zielkorrekturgitter (Koordinatensystem) mit jeweils 5er Schritten von 0-20. Dabei ist die Horizontal mit 1/6400, die Vertikale mit 1/16° zu bestimmen. Eine andere 10x45 Strichplatte hat eine Kreisvisier mit Fadenkreuz. An der rechten Seite unter dem Okular befinden sich das Fenster und die Schwalbenschwanzmontierung für die Beleuchtungseinheit. Ein flacher geriffelter Ring am Okularsockel dient zur Dioptrieneinstellung von + bis -4. Die Weichgummiaugenmuschel lässt sich drehen oder rauf- und runterschieben sowie in einer geeigneten Position mit einer Schraube feststellen. Mit einem "Farbgläser" gekennzeichneten Drehrad lassen sich vier unterschiedliche Graufilter in den Lichtweg einschwenken. Ansonsten ist das Bild ohne Filter sichtbar. |
The eyepiece has a reticle with a targeting and aim correction grid (coordinate grid) which has divison lines of 5 starting at 0 and ending at 20. The horizontal lines ared divided by 1/6400, the vertical lines are divided by 1/16°. another 10x45 reticle has a circle with cross-hairs. On the right-hand side below the eyepiece there is a small glass and the dove-tail mount for the illumination unit. A flat milled ring on the eyepiece base works as the dioptre adjustment ranging from + to -4. The soft rubber eyecup can be rotated or slid up- and downwards or can be fixed with a screw in an appropriate position. The wheel knob inscribed "Farbgläser" (= colour glasses) lets you swing in filter glasses of four shades of grey into the light path. Else, the image can be viewed without any filter. |
| Das 10x45 wurde am Entfernungsmesser jeweils links (B.-F.l.) und rechts (B.-F.r.) (s. Skizze unten Nr. 7 u. 13) oben auf, am Kommandogerät jeweils seitlich montiert (s. auch Bilder auf dieser Webseite (viert- und drittletztes Foto). Dafür greift die Bodenplatte in eine Halterung am Gerät und wird mit einer Schraube arretiert. Die folgenden Fotos zeigen die Montageposition am Em4 und am Kommandogerät 35. Beim letzteren ist links zusätzlich ein Beobachtungsfernrohr (B.F.) 6x30 mit 90° Einblick montiert. | The 10x45 was moutned onto the rangefinder on each side - left (B.-F.l.) and right (B.-F.r.) (cf. no. 7 and 13 in the drawing). It was attached sideways to the Kommandogeraet on each side (also see pics on this website (fourth and thirdd but last photo). In oreder to do so, the base plate hooks into a position on the main device and is fixec with a screw. The mounting positions on the rangefinder "Em 4" and on the "Kommandogerät 35" are shown in the following pictures. An extra 6x observation telescope (B.-F. 6x30) is also attached to the 10x45's mounting arm on the "Kommandogerät". |
| Das 10x45 mit Nr. 1085 für den "EM 4m R(H) 36" hat das Kältefettzeichen "+" und die Militärnummer 80988 (links unten am Montageplattenrand) ist schwarz lackiert und darunter zeigt sich die gelblich-braune Grundierungsfarbe. Am Objektivende befindet sich eine abgeschrägte Sonnen- bzw. Regenschutzblende, so dass die Objektivlinse um ca. 6cm nach innen versetzt ist. Die Optik ist unvergütet. Weitere hier gezeigte Exemplare haben andere Lackierungen oder sind bereits vergütet (blc Exemplar). Das Modell im letzten Foto hat ein Analogvisier auf einer Dach-artiges Blechverkleidung. |
The 10x45 with No. 1085 for the "EM 4m R(H) 36" also bears the cold resistance sign "+" and the military nubmer 80988 (bottom left on the base plate). It is lacquered black, and revealing the yelloish-brwown primer under it. A bevelled sunshade or rainguard builds the end of the objective tube so that the objective lens is retracted by about 6cm. The optics are uncoated. Other specimen depicted here come with different lacquering or a already coated (blc model ). The monocualr shown in the last photo has got a analogue bead and notch sight screwed onto a roof-like tin jacket. |
| Das 10x45 wiegt mit der Montageplatte 1,5kg. Es ist vom Prismengehäuse bis zum Objektivtubusvende unten 230mm und oben 250mm lang. Der Tubus verbreitert sich von 40 auf 55mm im Durchmesser. Die Höhe vom Gehäuseboden bis zur Augenmuschel ist 90mm, wobei das Gehäuse unten 59mm breit ist. Der Dioptrienring ist 55,5mm, das Okularstück 37mm und die Augenmuschelfassung 51mm im Durchmesser. Die Montagebodenplatte ist 14cm lang und verbreitert sich bis zur Mitte am Tubus zu 9cm. Das 12mm hohe Filterrad hat einen 25mm Durchmesser. Die Beschriftungsplatten sind zusammen 28x18mm breit. | The 10x45 weighs 1.5kg with its base mounting plate. It is 230mm at the bottom and 250 at the top part measruign from the prism houing to the objective tube end. The tube incdreases from 40 to 55mm in diameter. The vertical height from the housing to the eyepeice is 90mm, whereas the housing is 59mm wide at its bottom. The dioptre ring is 55.5mm, the eyepiece 37mm, and the eyecup frame 51mm in diameter. The base mounting plate is 14cm long and widens to 9cm near the middle of the tube. The 12mm tall filter wheel is 25mm in diameter. The inscription plaques measure 28x18mm together. |
