Busch "Lynkop" 12x

Das "Lynkop" 12x mit 20er Objektiv ist ein Prisma-Monocle der Fa. E. Busch aus Rathenow vom Anfang des 20. Jh. - ca. 1903-1909. Das Gehäuse hat einen dreieckigen Grundriss mit abgerundeten Ecken, einer Lederummantelung mit Naht sowie angeschraubter Trageriemenöse. Das Monokular ist aus Aluminium, die Deckel sind dreifach verschraubt und schwarz lackiert. Der obere Deckel trägt die Firmenbezeichnung und den Modellnamen. Die Vergrößerung ist in die Seite der 3/3 Bakelitaugenmuschel eingraviert. Es gibt eine Dioptrienskala von plus bis minus Vier.

The "Lynkop" 12x with a 20mm aperture is a prism monocular by E. Busch Rathenow from the beginning of the 20th century - about 1903-1909. The housing has a triangular cross-section with rounded corners. The leather covering has a seam. There is a strap lug screwed to the aluminium body. The cover plates have three screws and are painted black. The top cover is marked with the maker's and the model name. The glass's magnification is engraved on the 3/3 Bakelite eyecup. The latter has a dioptre scale ranging from plus to minus four.

Ein späteres Lynkop 12x20 mit gleicher Bauweise und Maßen hat jedoch eine 1/3 Augenmushel sowie ein kreuz-gerifflten Fokussierungsring und eine umlaufende Dioptrienskala von plus bis minus 5 am (linksseitigem) Okular. Die Vergrößerungsangabe wurde nunmehr unter dem Modellnamen auf den oberen Deckel graviert. Das Gewicht ist nunmehr 179 g.

A later Lynkop 12x20 has the same design and measurements but comes with a 1/3 eyecup and a cross-knurled focusing ring as well as a circumferential dioptre scale ranging from plus to minus five on the (left-hand sided) eyepice. At that time the specification of power is engraved below the model name on the upper cover. Its weight is now a little bit higher: 179 g.
