Busch "Marlux" 10x60

>Das 10x60 "Marlux" Modell wurde von E. Busch aus Leichtmetall erst ab ca. 1936/37 hergestellt und bis zum Weltkrieg nur wenige Jahre. Als Monokular wird es in den mir vorliegenden Katalogen nicht erwähnt. Der obere Deckel ist mit Busch-Logo - ein Halbbogen mit Strahlen und einem R im Dreieck - beschriftet. Darunter steht "BUSCH-MARLUX 10X60 und die Seriennummer 251548. Die Deckel sind schwarz lackiert, der obere ist zweifach, der untere nur einfach verschraubt. Das Prismengehäuse und der konische Objektivtubus sind mit strukturiertem Hartgummi ummantelt. Abgeplatzte Stellen wurden mit einer schwarzen Dichtungsmasse verspachtelt. Die Augenmuschel am linksseitigen Okular ist aus Bakelit. Die Dioptrienskala ist nur mit null und +/- mit 4 Teilstrichen gekennzeichnet. Die Trageriemenöse ist eingegossen. Der Objektivtubus ist mit einer Madenschraube am Seitenrand des unteren Deckels gesichert.

The 10x60 "Marlux" model was manufactured by E. Busch from light metal starting around 1936/37 and was only produced for a few years before the outbreak of World War II. The catalogues known to me do not list the 10x60 as a monocular. The top cover is marked with the Busch logo – a semicircle with rays and an R in a triangle. Below this is the inscription "BUSCH-MARLUX 10X60" and the serial number 251548. The covers are painted black; the upper one is secured with two screws, the lower one with a single screw. The prism housing and the conical objective tube are covered in textured hard rubber. Chipped areas have been filled with a black sealant. The eyecup on the left eyepiece is made of Bakelite. The dioptre scale is marked only with zero and +/- with four division lines. The strap lug is cast in. The objective tube is secured with a setscrew on the side of the lower cover.

Das Marlux ist 197 - 207mm lang, das Gehäuse ist 60,5x60,5mm oben und 70x70mm unten breit, das Okularstück ist 33mm, der vertikal geriffelte Fokussiering 38mm und die Augenmuschel 37mm im Durchmesser. Der Objektivtubus verbreitert sich von 55mm auf 72mm im Durchmesser. Das 10x60 wiegt 540g.

The Marlux is 197-207mm long, the housing measures 60.5x60.5mm at the top and 70x70mm at the bottom, the eyepiece is 33mm in diameter, the vertically knurled focusing ring is 38mm, and the eyecup is 37mm in diameter. The objective tube widens from 55mm to 72mm in diameter. The 10x60 weighs 540g.
