blc (Carl Zeiss) 7x50 UDF

Das gezeigte Monokular (eine Fernglashälfte) ist am oberen Deckel nur mit "blc" beschriftet. Daher ist es ein Carl Zeiss Jena Fabrikat aus dem 2. Weltkrieg, höchstwahrscheinlich eine Hälfte des UDF 7x50 ohne Filtereinrichtung. Es is aus Messing oder Bronze mit schwarzer Lackierung. Es hat eine wegklappbare Augenmuschel, wobei nur der Haltering, nicht mehr die Gummiaugenmuschel vorhanden ist (s. Bild 5). Eine Dioptrieneinstellung ist nicht möglich. Am konischen Objektivtubus befindet sich ein Gewindestutzen. Informationen zum UDF finden sich bei Seeger "Militärische ...", S. 388.

The monocular shown here (one half of a pair of binoculars) bears only the inscription "blc" on its top cover. It is, therefore, a Carl Zeiss Jena product dating from World War II—most likely one half of a UDF 7x50 model, without the filter mechanism. It is made of brass or bronze with a black painted finish. It features a hinged eyecup assembly; however, only the mounting ring remains, as the rubber eyecup itself is no longer present (cf. pic. 5). Diopter adjustment is not possible.
