Bausch & Lomb 7x35 Monokular

Dies ist das B&L Optiocal Co. (Rochester, N.Y.; s. Deckelbeschriftung) "Zephyr" Monokular 7x35 aus den 50er Jahren (20. Jh.) mit Ledertasche. Wie auf dem Gehäusedeckel, ist im Deckel der Ledertasche das B&L Emblem eingeprägt. Es hat die Seriennummer SG8252. Weitere bekannte Exempalre sind RG5252 und KG3814).
Das Okularteil ist mit einer Dioptrieskala von +8 bis -4 beschriftet und hat eine kunststoffaugenmuschel. Das Gehäuse zeigt die typische Form der USA Ferngläser (insbesondere B&L, ferner: Wollensak u.a.), aus einem Teil mit abgerundeten Prismengehäuseübergängen und ohne abschraubbaren Objektivtubus wie beim Zeiss-Typ.

This is the B&L (Optical Co., Rochester, N.Y.; see cover label) "Zephyr" Monocular 7x35 made in the 50s (20th century) with a leather case. The lid is stamped inside with the B&L emblem, just like the housing's cover. The serial number is SG8252. Another specimen has RG5252 and one has a S/N of KG3814.
The eyepiece has a dioptre scale ranging from +8 to -4. The eyecup is made of plastic. The body has the typical US binocular style (esp. B&L, further: Wollensak a.o), i.e. cast in one body part with rounded edges. The objective lens screws directly into the body instead of being screwed into a extra objective tube (Zeiss type).

Das Monokular wiegt 284 g. Es ist 145-150mm lang. Die Objektivfassung ist 54mm im Durchmesser, das Okular ca. 30mm. Der Gehäusedeckel misst 5x5,8cm. Die Optik ist blau vergütet.
